Overview of Course

This is a face-to-face group study session presenting information on the LEED Green Associate exam.

  • Friday, Feb. 12 –An Introduction to the Green Building Certification Institute and LEED; Sustainable Design Basics

  • Saturday, Feb. 13-LEED process and implementation; LEED Project Management; LEED Compliance Analysis; Studying Tips; Scheduling your Exam.

What is the Green Associate Credential?

The Green Associate credential is for building professionals who want to understand green building principles across various fields of practice.  Knowledge associated with this exam includes the basics of green design, construction, and operations. The LEED Green Associate exam is the first step in becoming LEED AP+ accredited and will be followed by a second course, the LEED AP+ for Green Building Design and Construction.

Course Materials Information:

Materials for the course are not included (2009 Edition of the LEED Reference Guide for Green Building Design and Construction). This text is helpful but not required.  Light refreshments will be provided.
